Hello everyone, I will be moving to Orlando and am looking at homes and schools. I came across some nice homes which have Castleview Elementary listed as the school. I cannot find any information on it on greatschools.org. Any ideas about it?
Thanks!

Castleview ranks among the top 15% of elementary schools in FL which is pretty fortunate given Orange County ranks pretty low overall. https://www.schooldigger.com/go/FL/s...10/school.aspx

It looks like the school opened in 2019, which means there were no state tests in 2020 due to the pandemic. So 2020-2021 is the only year of data they would have to compare.

Orange is the 9th largest school system in the country and thus has schools that take in children living in hotels to students living in $1 million homes. So, while Orlando isn't a big city or major city, its main school system is a big city school system larger than districts in places like Atlanta, Boston, Philadelphia, etc. Despite the other comment, you will see that there are schools that perform well as well some that are struggling, which of course nationally tend to correlate with the income levels their zoned neighborhoods.

Yes, if you go to northern neighbor Seminole County and pick a card with an address on it out of a hat, you'll likely be zoned for a school that you'll like. But if you want to live close to the Orlando city center or the attractions, there are options in Orange County.

Castleview is in Horizon West, which is a very popular and rapidly growing neighborhood.

Thanks for the replies. Hoping to also hear from someone with experience in that school or knows someone in that school.
