Can anyone tell me what it is like to live in Reunion as a permanent resident - a family with two young girls - they asre not school age so schools are not an issue for us - but we want a safe place where is great to be outside and playing alot! Any advice would be appreciated.

There won't be many other children in that area, and errant golf balls will always be a concern when they are playing outside. I agree, I'd look elsewhere.

And the previous poster was right on--they aren't school age now, but will be soon, and Osceola Schools are terrible.

Reunion is a very nice area. I have a number of listings in there which are of great price, but as many have said already, whilst your children arnt of school age now, there will come a time where this will become an issue. There is some great shopping just down the road in Champoinsgate and a new shopping mall 1 exit west of reunion on I4, but you may also want to consider that this is a golf community and stray golf balls are going to be something you will need to consider.

We are seeing prices in Reunion not much less than Celebration, which they have a golf course but very few homes directly on it if at all, but they also have great schools there.

I would take a good hard look at Celebration's purported "Great Schools" because a lot of people--including educators--feel very differently, especially on the "D"-rated high school level.

I can only comment on how my friends and colleagues who have children in those schools feel about them and they are very happy with them. I have noticed to be honest how schools are rated here in the USA is something of a farce, and the best piece of advice is to actually go to the school, and meet people in those neighbourhoods and get feedback that way.
