I work at John Young & Sand Lake, and I am looking to move closer to work. (I currently live over by Fullsail and spend a ton on tolls and gas every month).

I'm looking at an apartment complex called Twelve Oaks at Windermere on Kirkman and Conroy. Anyone know anything about this place and this area? I'll be living alone, and I want to feel safe. I realize that going north on Kirkman gets closer to the bad areas of town, but as far as I know, this far south is okay.

Any other suggestions for safe apartments for single women around this area?

Also think I'll look into Millenium Cove, if anyone knows about that place .

Thanks!

You shouldn't have any problems at Twelve Oaks to my knowledge. Added bonus is you can walk to the Publix right there.

If Millenium Cove is the complex I am thinking about, I don't think you would have problems there either...they just have the worst paint job I have ever seen.

I would agree with Twelve Oaks...I don't know anything about Millenium Cove.

I lived at STUDIO PARC (Behind the Boston Market) . . I lived alone also. $700 a month including water. Pretty safe and quiet. Not that many people in the complex. After 8pm they close their gates and you got to enter your PIN to enter the complex . . I like the area though. Easy access to food and entertainment. Millenia Mall u just take Conroy straight down about 5-10 mins.

If you are working on the Sand Lake Road/John Young Area, right off Central Florida and International Drive there is a complex by the name of Cumberland Park that is brand new and great. They also have some great specials going on if you are still looking. They are right accross from the Orlando Premium Outlets. Approximately a 10 minute drive, minimal traffic from that complex to the Sand Lake Road/John Young Intersection.

Default cumberland parks

Yikes! They are 1500 for a 2/2, with nothing included. I am looking more in the 800-900 range, unless something is included...even just water/trash.

The Seranno on Conroy was asking @$850 for a 2/1 (the bath is a Jack-n-Jill with separate rooms for the vanities and other bathroom "items"). Renovated with new counters, cabinets, carpets. Safe area, and the complex has a pool and fitness room. No utilities included. The Seranno, as well as a number of other complexes, is located sort of at the intersection of Kirkman and Conroy on Cypress Woods Drive.
