There has been a lot of controversy in the news lately about this. Do you think the city should allow it or do you think it will be too much of a distraction to the drivers on 1-4. The city is voting on it today.

I think it is hard to make the arguement that it will not be some kind of distraction, but you can make that case with any electronic roadside billboard advertisement. That being said, if it looks like I picture it to look, it will be a great addition to Downtown.

I don't see it as any different than the same type of thing in use in many cities--larger ones with equally heavier traffic--around the country.

That said, I'm also not so sure it's a great idea.

they have something similar in NJ near the Prudential center... granted that is a few blocks from any major highway ... but i think it still causes some rubbernecking

I think everyone on I-4 in in a trance anyway so it really won't make that big of difference.

Besides it will give them something to read while they're stuck in traffic.
