My girlfriend and I are moving to the Orlando area this summer and we are looking for a safe, affordable, and quiet area that is not more than 30-40mins away from downtown. Does anyone have a suggestions on where we should be looking? Thank you.

What is your budget? Will you be looking to rent or purchase a home? Do you wnat to be able to walk to all the nightlife and other activities, or prefer a more suburban or rural setting?

Need more details of what you desire. However, you might want to check out the Tivoli Woods subdivisions. 20-30 minutes from anywhere in downtown - close to the 417, 408, 528. Still several bank owned properties - for purchase and for rent. My recommendation would be for Oak Crest.

We are looking to rent but we are open to any kind of community setting. I wouldn't want to be directly in the downtown area because I would like quiet to study sometimes, yet I still would like to be a close enough distance to reach the nightlife if I wanted to get away and take my girlfriend out.

Look in College Park, Thornton Park, and Colonialtown.
