Why didn't GM bring the Opel Calibra to USA?

I wish GM would bring the Holden Commodore VF ute over to the North Amrerican market a 6.2 LS3 Camaro V-8 and 6-speed manual tranny it would be great as a rebadged El Camino SS heck even add the direct injected turbo 2.8 Duramax diesel from the 2015/2016 Chevy Colorado it would be a hoot.

Good point it just looks interesting plus Aussies love their Utes so maybe if we gave them a chance here in North America we could figure out why they like them so much as well.
