This message is for Crew Chief (who I know drives truck) and all the rest of the CDers out there who have dedicated their lives to making sure the rest of us get the things we need by driving all those trucks. Thank you so much for all you do. You make our lives so much better.

One of my roles in the past was to manage payphone long distance service in the truckstop and travel center market. I used to enjoy being one of the main sponsors of the Trucker Appreciation Days at the Union 76 Travel Plazas. I sure learned alot about the industry and the great job the drivers do keeping cargo on the move!

I worked nearly three decades commercial power plant and road construction, done a fair amount of driving in my day. The drivers deserve a big thumbs up from me. Always!

More people need to respect the truck drivers on the road and quit pulling in front of them making quick stops.

Amen! It's those same drivers who then blame the truck driver if there's an accident

Our nation would be lost without truckers. DH was a produce broker and it seemed that the two entities that were irreplaceable- truckers and farmers- were always treated the worst by many in the industry.

Thank you, truck drivers, for all that you do!

Many thanks, ALL!!! (and RRTechno for starting the thread!) All of the men and women that move America sure appreciate a kind word (and a free meal) every now & then! I know that, as busy as our lives are, we seldom have time to think about the farmers who grow our food and all the folks it takes to get that food to the store shelf!

Stripes17, I sure miss the ol' Union 76 Truck Stops! Nowadays, if the truck stop doesn't have fast food (Subway...) their restaurant has mostly mediocre food...sigh. And when I was doing my research before becoming a trucker; there's one piece of advice I was given that I'll never forget: "The only way to make GOOD money in trucking is to sell things to drivers". Sometimes I think that dude was right!

And we truckers definitely appreciate all who share the road with us safely and courteously!

I think this must be one of the harder and more underappreciated jobs there are. Thank you to all the truckers!
