Happy St. Patty's Day, everyone! Today's Tip is related to Wednesday's Tip, and is another request by a fellow poster. The question was, "How do you post pictures from the Internet?"
Here's the easiest way I've found to do it: Go to Google.com* Click "Images" link in upper left corner of screen. Type name of image you want in search box (e.g., "shamrocks") Find a picture you want to save. Right click on the image and choose "Save Picture As" and save it to your "My Pictures" folder (or whatever folder you choose). Then it can be posted just like any other image in your folder.
*Lots of other sites besides Google have images links. Also, you can do the same with with photos and graphics you see on most web sites. Say you're in the Birds And Blooms web site (my favorite magazine!) and you want to save a photo. For the photo below from that web site, I "saved picture as" butterfly, and here it is after I tinypic'd it:

Happy picture-posting, everyone!
Thanks for the tip... I just want to add that I was searching Google for a picture of a celebrity and nearly contracted a virus clicking on one of the Google images.

Good point, Chat. That happened to me a couple of times with animated gifs.
Folks, if you ever click on an image and you get a virus warning, DO NOT click on the warning, but DO SHUT DOWN YOUR PC immediately. If it won't let you shut down properly, power it off. Wait a moment, and then you can restart and go merrily on your way.
Pam, Windows XP and older operating systems have the "My Pictures" directory/folder as a sub-directory of the My Documents directory, but Windows Vista and Windows 7 have seperate folders/directories and they're called Documents, Pictures, Music, Videos, and so forth. They are referred to as Libraries, and they're not sub-directories under the My Documents parent directory, like they are in XP.
If that makes sense, that's great, if not.. well, send your non-tax deductible contributions to me, and I'll give you an answer you'll like to this address: 7987 Main Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85111...
Just a thought and I could be wrong, but I don’t know if “all” pictures can be copied from the internet and then re-posted onto C-D. Some photos are “copyrighted” and can not be used for any purpose without authorization from the owner. Copyright is a difficult thing to understand and not all pictures are “restricted”, it’s hard if they are not marked or indicated somehow.
Here’s a link that might help. I don’t think anyone wants to deliberately cause a problem with copyright issues but this is something to think about when coping images, photos or other items.
Years ago I received “C-D infractions” regarding copyrighted article and not giving enough credit to where it came from.
This was about all I could find on the topic.

Copyrighted Material - Instead of copying-and-pasting articles, photos, or other material you find on the Internet, you should be posting links to those articles. Posting a snippet from the article and then the link is the appropriate way to post.
the pic looks very beautiful !!!
Spring is coming , happy !!!
