U know I was just thinking about the process in deciding to post. I post on most of the daily threads and on threads that are not too long typically, but I wonder if u should do onto others as they do onto u in posting? I mean if someone posts on your thread u should return the courtesy. I don't start allot of threads. I am more comfortable with posting. Sometimes I don't return post when I my post is quoted within a thread though. Not because I mean anything by it, but I wonder if the people who comment on my post feel slighted? I certainly meant no harm. And if any of u do, I apologize. I will make an earnest effort to use better manners when I post. Just spamming here. This is a great thread by the way.
I don't think replies to a reply to your post are absolutely necessary. I think it then becomes a conversation. There are times when a reply to a reply is appropriate, but not necessarily the "courteous" thing to do.
I spend time making a post reply to someone and then after reading it and re-writing it several times, I will decide to forget it. Not even post it. I call them my non posts. Somehow I go through the thought process of what my opinion is and have good intentions but decide I just don't want to to be engaged right now. Maybe I'm just shy or not sure what my opinion is. So at that moment, to be scrutinized may not be in my personal best interests.
Speaking of birds. We have Grackles here, and they make a funny sound. I thought someone was scraping plastic on the pavement.
