Good morning peevers and welcome to a new week.

Blimey- yesterday was a washout! At one point the rain was blowing horizontally across the field.

The big pre-Wimbledon tennis tournament final in London was washed out, as was much of the cricket around the Country. We've had a bit of disruption due to other weather related incidents throughout the year.

So, that leads on to today's peeve;

When the weather disrupts your plans.

Good morning Jezer. Boy you are right on target. Hubby and I have been trying to get our old roof off and new shingles on in between the rainy weather. Today is the day...wish for no rain for us. In about 5 minutes hubby and I will be on top of the roof unscrewing the metal panels.

Chant...no rain, no rain

That happens here every winter. I've been snowbound for up to a week before the drifts all were removed.

Right now, we're wondering if it's ever going to rain down here in Texas. The drought is causing the rivers to dry up & that's canceling a lot of peoples' out door plans.

When the weather disrupts your plans.

That's a big peeve this year. It's pouring here this morning, I'd love to be able to send those of you who need rain, some of ours. I try to make alternate plans now. In the worst case, I am curled up at home with a good book, now that is not so bad; but I don't rely on the weather for my daily bread--if I did I would be in a very different frame of mind.

If only there's a way we can channel the flooding areas, to move the water there to the regions in the US where they are experiencing drought.
I feel for the people whose homes are in a direct path of the raging fires and those whose home may be carried away by the raging waters

It's always good to have a back-up plan There were some poor kids who had their graduation ruined because school officials didn't take into account the weather. It was rainy and so cold older relatives couldn't even stay to watch their grandchildren graduate
