  • First in our family to get earn a 4-year college degree.
  • Studied voice for several years when I was younger and can still sing an Italian opera pretty darned well!
  • Went on my first cruise in March 2010.
  • Was Queen of The Nile, literally, for a 13-month term in 2002-2003. (A philanthropic organization I belong to, related to Shriners. The office equivalent to president is called the Queen, and the organization is called Daughters of the Nile.) (I know, I know....it sounds silly, but we do wonderful work, raising money to provide outpatient care for the children of Shriners' Orthopaedic and Burn Hospitals for Children throughout North America. We also sew children's hospital gowns and sew toys for them. It's all good, and I'm very proud of that!)

I laughed so hard that I couldn't breathe. I ended up in the hospital where I was basically dead and not breathing for a whole hour!!

This would be under "Things maybe others have not had the fortune or misfortune to do!!"

1) had 5 kids after being told i'd never have any

2) delivered the middle one myself

3) met George Bush (daddy) when he was still with the CIA

4) went to a party at the Saudi Embassy

5) got asked to leave a party at the Saudi Embassy for expressing my views about the way they treat women

6) got to go backstage at a ZZ Top concert

7) once owned a George Nakashima table

8) grew up and went to school with the members of Lynyrd Skynyrd

9) put a Navy SEAL in the ER for not being an officer and a gentleman. It was a lucky punch.

<fast forward 6 months> At 13 months, I said my first cuss word..
<fast forward 13 years> I graduated from a Christian/Catholic grade school.. the Nuns and the principle were very glad to get rid of me...
<fast forward 4 more years to 1975> I graduated from high school.
<fast forward 10 years later to 1985> I finally graduated from College with my Associate Degree in Computer Science.
<fast forward 2 years to 1987> I graduated from College with my Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and Computer Information Systems.
<fast forward 2 years to 1989> Got my VFR flight certification for a light single-engine aircraft, which means I can fly a Cessna 172, 182, 210, Beechcraft Bonanza F33, and other similar aircraft.
<fast forward 2 to 3 years> Received flight training on the simulator for the Boeing 737-300, Boeing 757-200, Airbus A319 and A320 at America West Airlines flight training facility.

I have been banned from City-Data at least 10 times and one of the senior mods once told me I was in the top 10 most infracted posters on CD.
