Good luck. It takes a lot of research which most haven't got the time for. Sad but true. We've got hospitals and clinics out the kajingjang and still it's a coin toss.
Update- Mrs J has been putting this off for about a year. She was driving down to the dentist and I got a phone call from them to say that the dentist is off ill with the flu!
That's the first thing I do when I move to a new area.......ask around to ferret out the best dentist (especially!) and best family practice doctor in town.
Finding dentists and docs are hard but thankfully when I moved to two diff. states I lucked out with primary docs!! Fabulous ones!
Now as for the dentist, I had a harrowing experience with one! Had a root canal she performed and messed up and a few years later I needed a re-treat on it costing over 1500.00! because of her stupidity! The endodontist I was referred to by a new dentist asked me if the dentist that had done this was sleeping?! One canal never got filled, another was half filled and another nada! Holy cow. They said it could have infected my whole gumline but thankfully this one got it in time! YIKES!!
I have had a dentist for the past 19 yrs. that I LOVE LOVE LOVE! I used to fly in to see him when I lived out of state for so many years! I love getting my teeth cleaned and look forward to going!! Call me crazy but he is the best and very conservative! My kids go to him too now!!!
Yep, our dentist recently retired and it's been a pain trying to find a comparable one today. Some of our doctors are close to retiring also, so more fun times comming up.
I've changed dentists and had good luck. However I'm still with the same doctor that I've been using for the last 30 years. Yes he's old but he's good. In fact on Friday night at 7 he called my home to personally tell me the test results from a few days earlier when I was in the office. Now there's not many doctors who would spend the time to do that, most would just have their office employees do it.
Some friends have moved to a smaller city (50K) and none of the doctors will take them because of medicare so they have to drive two hours back into the valley where they can see a doctor.
I don't go enough to a doctor or dentist to get attached to them.
Sad....but true.
