Hello, kids! Scroll on down for a short but sweet Today's Tip!

SUGAR CUBES - WHO KNEW?

Diabetics need not cringe at the thought of sugar cubes in this Tip! Cubes have
another purpose besides sweetening foods and beverages.

As with other breads, you should store biscuits in the refrigerator. There's
a trick, though, to keeping them crispy on the outside -- put a sugar cube
in the container with the biscuits! The sugar cube will absorb moisture inside
the container so that the texture and flavor of your biscuits won't be compromised
during storage.

Likewise, a sugar cube in a container of crispy cookies can help keep the cookies
crispy and delish.

Aw, gee....... thanks, nitram.

Camper, I'm putting them on my shoping list, too. It's been so humid this summer, they'll surely help more foods stay fresh.

I rarely have cookies or biscuits in the house and if I did they wouldn't last long enough to get soggy. Damn shorties. Well OK the truth is that I would do as much damage as the shorties and the sugar cubes wouldn't have a chance either

I don't like my biscuits to have any crispy on them. I throw the crispy one on the floor. I like my biscuits done medium-rare.
I want to put sugar cubes in my underarms.
Great multipurpose tip, Pam. Thanks.

When I first saw that picture of the sugar cubes I suddenly had a strange taste in my mouth.

I just realized that I associate sugar cubes with Salk/Sabin and the years we got the polio vaccine in sugar cubes. Anyone remember that?
