When officialdom balls up.
Been there done that. Dealing with officialdom is like going to the dentist for a root canal without any anesthesia and no bib, painful and messy.
We've been awaiting a bill from the private hospital ward where my sister died last month.
It turns out that it was addressed and sent to HER at a wrong address and they are demanding interest payments. She actually died on their ward!
It will be dealt with in no uncertain terms.
So, today's POTD is;
When officialdom balls up.
Oh good heavens! Go get 'em Jezer! That's just ridiculous, hospitals are the worst about this as well as doctors offices. They have a way of making a very difficult time even worse.

Yep, we have had that happen a few times over the years. I usually put The Super Chief in bulldog mode and she straighten them out.
The best was a battle with the Internal Revenue folks when the showed up at the door one night demanding payment. After all was said and done the left hanging their heads and we got our refund.
My condolences Jezer. I went to the ER where I once worked after a mishap and I waited for the bill. It never came and I forgot about until the letter came from the collection agency about a year later. They sent the bill to the wrong address and who ever admitted me never updated the information. The insurance didn't want to pay because the bill was over a year old. I knew it was a bad hospital for patient care, but it was a bad place on so many levels. I'm glad I quit working there.
Sorry about your sister Jezer.
I agree with everything that's been said by other posters.
