Hi, kids! Scroll on down for Today's Tip.

FRESHEN YOUR CAR'S INTERIOR

Here are some cool ways to freshen up your car's interior.

Take a tea strainer and fill it with fragrant bath salts. Place it in
the glove compartment. You'll get a whiff of fresh, fragrant air
every time you open the box.

Take one of those little scented wax tarts that candle companies
make and drop one into the bottom of your cup holder.

Take some fresh aromatic herbs, such as basil, and lay them on
a sheet of newspaper in the back seat. Leave the windows rolled
up. The leaves will dry and will help to eradicate stale air and
bad odors.

You can sprinkle a few drops of lemon or eucalyptus essential oil
onto your car mats for a gentle, sweet scent that will last a few weeks.

Can't you get in trouble if caught with a tart in your car? Great tips Pam! It would be nice if everyone had some lemon trees. Pick a few fresh leaves and squish them up ......oh what a great fragrance!

Hope that tip works for others but for me any fragrance sets off my allergy attacks.

Bath salts can get you into big trouble!!!!!!

I'd use a bar of Irish Spring soap in the glove box instead. Smells nice and you can always clean up with it.

I really need to do that, as I only have one window left in my car that rolls down, and when that window goes out......................!

Ain't gonna do it, $500+ to repair a power window in my 27YO car!

I like the tips, but the wax candle would melt so fast in my neck of the woods. But I will try the bath salts...

Great ideas. Didn't think about the strainer. I tried some of the Purex Crystals in a cup, in one of the cup holders in the car. The smell is wonderful. Not too strong either. Might have to get a tea strainer and put them in that, that might work. I have also heard putting fabric softener sheets in car.

I don't know about the dryer sheets. Pam has had other tips about the dangers of dryer sheets. Harmful to pets and probably humans. I'm hoping my letting my cat play in just dried clothes ...or even rubbing with a softener sheet didn't cause it's demise. But, I sure won't let the cats near those things now.
