Guilty. I was glued to the TV watching the "Trial of the Century." What a 3-ring circus that was.

Not into poetry, but I did get one in an e-mail a friend sent to me:

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Sugar is sweet and so are you

But the roses are wilted
The violets are dead
The sugar bowl's empty and so is your head

On that note, enjoy your Sunday!

Good morning all!

Now then. The weather here today, from my stool here in my kitchen, is cloudy and dull at the moment.

My favourite comfort food, hmmmm. I do like cheese melted on toast!

Do I think OJ was guilty or not? Well, one thing I will say, he had a good team of lawyers.

My favourite poem? This is the way the world will end,
This is the way the world will end,
This is the way the world will end,
Not with a bang, but with a whimper.

On that note, I will end with a cheery good day to you.....

Questions

What will the weather be like in your neck of the woods today?

Partly cloudy, a high of 89 degrees and a UV index of 10 (very high) and if it is anything like it has been in the last two weeks the day will end with thunder between 4PM and 6PM.

What is your favorite comfort food when you're feeling a little under the weather?

Ice cream. It's always ice cream. Comfort or no comfort.

What year did you cast your first vote in a presidential election?

1972 (originally thought it was Nixon's first term but I wasn't 18 until '69 so it must have been his second term)

Do you think O.J. was guilty or not-guilty.

Guilty

Do you have a favorite poem? If so, what is it? Can you recite it from memory?

I love both of these poems for the rythm that matches the story. They sound really good read aloud with the right male readers.

The Charge of the Light Brigade by Alfred Lord Tennyson followed by The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe

I can't recite the whole Tennyson poem by memory but this verse I know (but not the punctuation ):

Cannon to right of them
Cannon to left of them
Cannon in front of them
Volleyed and thundered
Stormed at with shot and shell
Boldly they rode and well
Into the jaws of Death
Into the mouth of Hell
Rode the six hundred.
