Sorry, I've been getting pole postion a lot this week. I'm not trying to.

Today's Question(s):
Are you watching the Olympics ?
Off and on.
If so what has been your favorite competition so far ?"
Can't say I have one right now.
Have you seen any that had you saying "Wow" ?
The Columbian soccer player who punched an American player was pretty amazing and no accident imo.

Bonus Question:
What was the last thing you gave someone advise on ?
You know what they say about advice: people are glad to give it away because they don't use it themselves.
Was this something you were asked ?
Someone I know who is a troublesome person asked me for advice about a year ago. Anything I said or suggested from real knowledge and experience was immediately argued down by this person. Go figure.
or
Did you volunteer the information ? Depends on the circumstances.

Extra Credit Question:
in honor of National Park Day
How many National Parks have you visited ?
A few.
Do you have a favorite ?
Smokey Mountains

Today is:
National Watermelon Day
Are you supposed to take the rind off?

Today's Question(s):

Are you watching the Olympics ?
Not as much as I'd like. I've been flat out painting my newly converted garage!

If so what has been your favorite competition so far ?"
Most of our free-to-air coverage skips about rather a lot - a couple of minutes of this, then a couple of minutes of that (pay TV has more comprehensive coverage I believe). I've enjoyed the gymnastics when it's been on.

Have you seen any that had you saying "Wow" ?
The female gymnasts and the synchronised divers!

Bonus Question:

What was the last thing you gave someone advise on ?
Helping a good friend while she deals with her dying sister and helping my daughter stay positive while she deals with a distressing issue.

Was this something you were asked ?
or
Did you volunteer the information ?
These sorts of things tend to come up in conversation rather than as a direct request for advice.

lol did they take the advise ?
They probably take the bits they like or can see some value in, and discard the rest!

Extra Credit Question:

in honor of National Park Day

How many National Parks have you visited ?
Lots of your National Parks. I think we had a similar question to this some time back, and if memory serves me correctly I counted at least 23. Too worn out from painting to count 'em up again!

Do you have a favorite ?
Several favourites - Canyonlands, Bryce, Shenandoah, Yosemite, and of course the Grand Canyon - among others. Thanks Karla.

Hope everyone has a Fun Friday.

Good morning all from a still dry England!

Now then, the Olympics. I haven't watched very much. Just a few highlights on the news of medal winners.

I will probably get more interested when we get to the field and track events.

I don't give advice unless asked. I learned years ago it's best to mind your own business!

My favourite national park in England is the Lake District. This is about 80 miles north of here. A really beautiful area of eight lakes. This is the area Beatrix Potter lived, and wrote her famous children's books.

Have a nice day everyone!
