Hi everyone!
So something has happened in your world, and you are feeling really down... what comforts you?

For me, I try to think of all the good things in my life. It gives me reasons to be grateful and shows me how blessed I really am...
Memories I am blessed to still remember... the folks in my life that I love, or am coming to love, and all those I know I will meet someday, and I will love them too. I am blessed.
My Granny always liked to tell us to "Count your blessings", any time we were "downcast" as she put it. But you know? She was so right. It's just too hard to stay all gloomy when you think about all that you have instead of all you do not, isn't it?

Tell me what works for you! Good ideas should always be shared.

I was way down with the loss of a beloved pet in March. I used herbs Hawthorn and Lemon Grass (plus lots of B-complex) for the physical part. As you've noted, I counted my blessings because I still have three pets to care for. They need more than a daily feeding. The animals react to whatever is going on with the caregivers and though my heart was broken I did all I could to give them a positive attitude. They also felt the absence of their companion so to distract them from the sadness I immediately began a different play routine for them with new toys and that helped.

Rescuing and caring for animals has always been a good thing in my life and always will be. Your Granny was right!

That's what comforts me, people that care. I find that no-one in the real world even comprehends that I'm feeling down. Not that everyone on here needs to know, it's the fact that they are here, that matters.

I move all the furniture in the living room and play with tennis balls with the dogs.

First off I have no real "reason" to feel down. So I would theoretically smack myself upside my head and have a talk with myself

A couple of things I do to get me out of a funk:

Get some activity. Go outside and take a walk, watch the cows, play in my garden. Really anything as long as I am in the fresh air.

Read jokes and look at cute pictures.

Turn up some uplifting music like Motown and sing and dance like a fool
