Good morning peevers.

I trust that everyone is feeling as well as can be.

So the big day is over. It's a Holiday here today but I think you have a normal working day?

For the last few weeks we have been subjected to Christmas songs. Some I guess are good, indeed some are classics.

However many, shall we say, are not. It seems that people feel that they have to make a Christmas themed song and that in itself is enough.

It hit me a few days ago when I was in a shop where they were playing some really rubbish Christmas themed songs and I had to walk out.

So, back to the peeving- no slacking!

The POTD is;

Rubbish Christmas songs.

By the way, anyone found posting examples of rubbish songs will be forced to..... oh, I'll think of something.

Here are some photos that I took yesterday in the lovely market town of Marlborough. Forgive the darkness- problem with the settings, now rectified.

Finally, I can have my classic rock station back?, it's an hour after midnite into the 26th. But I'm afraid to turn it on right now, fearing they may still be playing back-to-back Xmas songs right into the 26th!

Until I know for certain it's safe, I'll stick to my Classical Music station and test the waters tomorrow some time!

And, if the Xmas songs are still playing, keep your ears tuned for a gut-wrenching scream coming from Las Vegas!

Anyway, possible, to de-Christmasize the world? Where or where do we start!!!

That's a big peeve of mine.
I'm not into Christmas music, most songs are so depressing... It's supposed to be a happy time and you get things like "White christmas" and "I'll be home for Christmas" etc, and though they can be considered good songs, they are plain depressing! Please, stop airing them over and over!
We know that so many people are not well over the Holidays, alone, depressed, and anywhere they go they get to hear that...

Not a fan of most Christmas songs. Of course any music can set my teeth on edge if I hear too much of it.

BTW Jezer I see this today:

Think a lot of these so called singers are just trying to cash in on the holidays and a shame that stations even give their crap air time.

I hardly heard any Christmas music at all. They don't play them in the stores anymore for the holidays. Heck it didn't even feel like Christmas this year.

Like Sudcaro said.....a lot of them are depressing and slow. I'd rather hear the fun and peppy ones.

Default the anti-peeve

Rubbish? You mean those songs about the torn wrapping paper and the turkey bones? Yep, those are out there.
