Good morning peevers.

The good weather has come to an end, sad to relate.

I do however have some shots that follow of the garden in lovely evening sunshine from yesterday.

Here's an eternal question- how come socks seem to go AWOL?

I sometimes seem to end up with the odd sock either at the beginning or end of a wash, or when putting them away.

How about you?

It's one of life's great puzzles and is the POTD;

Where do the odd socks get to?

I think they disappear to some strange planet in a galaxy far away called the Land of Mismatched Socks, never to be seen again.

Oooh, nice flowers! The tulips are especially striking. Is that your garden, Jezer?

I believe you're right. I hear that they get a new leg up as 'sock puppets'...

Morning Jezer: Our great weather is going to end today as well. Yesterday it was absolutely gorgeous outside..76 degrees, blue skies, nice breeze. We had however been 18 days with no rain so I really am rather pleased we will be getting a bit of rain.
Now..as for the sock conundrum..Hmmmmm?? Yes...I too end up with odd socks and cannot figure out where they go. I am thinking that there is this creature loose in our house called the "sock monkey". I think he gets himself wrapped up in the laundry and chooses which sock he wants to steal. He also gets into the dresser drawer where I keep all my husbands socks and makes a mess of the drawer. I always ask my husband if the "sock monkey" has been loose in his drawer again.
I am fairly sure if we were to take apart the washer and the dryer and look among the "parts" we would find a sock or two lodged inside each of them.
Have a funny sock story! When my son was a teen, he would take his socks off and leave them laying on the floor in the living room or perhaps the kitchen. Getting tired of picking up after him, I began to take his socks and hide them in a shopping bag. He ended up going to his sock drawer and had no clean socks left when I presented him with a whole shopping bag full of soiled socks he had left hanging around. I made him buy them back from me...$.50 a pair. He was working part time so his next check was mostly mine!! He was quickly ready to not ever leave them laying around again...I WAS THE SOCK MONKEY! LOL
Have a wonderful day.

The sock monster lurks! I often wear mismatched socks. Because I am an old fart and I can. I do it on purpose too!
