Good morning everyone and welcome to Questions of the Day for Tuesday, September 2nd 2014. Spring is springing ‘round here – can faintly smell jasmine on the breeze and the heater hasn’t been on at all for several days. Not yet game to put it away for the summer… but it won’t be long!

Today’s question:

Which TV comedy show (past or present) makes you laugh the hardest?

Extra credit question:

Which one of each of the following pairs do you prefer?

Carrots or cauliflower

Very cold weather or very hot weather

Dogs or cats

High pillow or low pillow (in bed)

Tennis or football (to watch)

Bonus question
:

How far away is your nearest large shopping mall?

How often do you shop there?

Just for fun:

Have you been nominated by a friend to undertake the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge?

If yes, did you take up the challenge? If no, would you take it up if challenged?

Thought for the day:

Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little. (Edmund Burke)

Today is:

Another Look Unlimited Day (donate unused items to charity)
Bison-ten Yell Day (the imaginary creator of a series of ten battle yells)
National Blueberry Popsicle Day
V-J Day

Good morning everyone and welcome to Questions of the Day for Tuesday, September 2nd 2014.
Today’s question:
Which TV comedy show (past or present) makes you laugh the hardest?
Only humorous shows I'm currently watching are political in nature, so I'll omit those.
American: Scrubs, King of the Hill, NewsRadio, 30 Rock, Becker, Chappelle's Show.
English: Ideal, Monty Python, Yes Minister, The IT Crowd, The Smoking Room, Saxondale, I'm Alan Partridge, Jeeves & Wooster (Fry & Laurie).

Extra credit question:
Which one of each of the following pairs do you prefer?
Carrots or cauliflower Carrots by a nose, but I really can't stand either
Very cold weather or very hot weather Strongly dislike both extremes, it's a tie
Dogs or cats
High pillow or low pillow (in bed) High when sitting up, low when trying to fall asleep
Tennis or football (to watch) Tennis, though haven't watched it in decades

Bonus question
:
How far away is your nearest large shopping mall?
There are several big box stores half an hour away, a proper shopping mall is more like an hour or 90 mins. away (not sure).

How often do you shop there? Big box stores-once in a while, maybe 1x/month or less.
Malls-
almost never. Last time I went to such a complex was several years ago, can't even recall when.

Just for fun:
Have you been nominated by a friend to undertake the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge?
No, thank goodness.

If yes, did you take up the challenge? If no, would you take it up if challenged?

Thought for the day:

Thanks for the Qs, Kobber.
Hoping everyone has a mellow Tuesday.

My favourite comedy show ever was 'Some Mother's Do 'Ave 'Em' from 40 years ago. The show starred Michael Crawford. The very same man who years later found worldwide fame on stage in 'Phantom Of The Opera.' He did all his own stunts......

Hello all,

Good morning everyone and welcome to Questions of the Day for Tuesday, September 2nd 2014. Spring is springing ‘round here – can faintly smell jasmine on the breeze and the heater hasn’t been on at all for several days. Not yet game to put it away for the summer… but it won’t be long!

Today’s question:

Which TV comedy show (past or present) makes you laugh the hardest?
I can't think of one. I currently do not watch TV at all.

Extra credit question:

Which one of each of the following pairs do you prefer?

Carrots or cauliflower - Carrots

Very cold weather or very hot weather - Hot, but I do not like it.

Dogs or cats - Neither. If forced to pick - dogs.

High pillow or low pillow (in bed) - Low

Tennis or football (to watch) - Neither. Tennis if there is a gun to my head.

Bonus question:

How far away is your nearest large shopping mall? - About 2 miles.

How often do you shop there? Only the grocery store that is there. About once a week.

Just for fun:

Have you been nominated by a friend to undertake the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge? I do not know what this is but from the answers so far I would not be interested.

If yes, did you take up the challenge? If no, would you take it up if challenged? N/A

Thanks, Kobber.
Hope everyone has a good Monday!
