Today's Questions hopped on the bus, Gus. ---> 0Oo.[=.==.=[].]

Today's Moving Questions:
What's the furthest you've ridden a bus - where to where?

How did you acquire your first car or other transport?

If you're moving along a street parallel to railroad tracks, do you ever feel like you're racing a train?
(This is nothing to do with crossing tracks while a train is on them! Just driving alongside.)

What do you do while sitting in a car and waiting to cross busy railroad tracks?

What funny or weird things have you seen or heard of people doing while waiting there or at stop lights?

How about while driving?

Bonus Hossie Question:
Would you rather ride:
-a stagecoach in an old west movie?
-a horse drawn sleigh through snow on a farm?
-a carriage through a rainy park in a big city?
-horseback in a parade?
-on the Budweiser beer wagon pulled by Clydesdales?
-or
(please describe) other hossie powered transport?

Foodie and Bevvie Questions:
If you drink beer or rootbeer, what kinds?

What prepackaged or box dinners have you tried?
(ex. Hamburger Helper, but there are others)

Do you eat or make salad sandwiches - like ham, chicken, or egg?

What other salad or made-from-a-mix sammiches can you think of?

Whistle, shoot the bull, reminisce ....
What funny or weird things have you seen or heard of people doing while waiting there or at stop lights?

How about while driving?
When I'm driving all is well.

Bonus Hossie Question:

Today's Questions hopped on the bus, Gus.
Slip out the back Jack

Today's Moving Questions:
What's the furthest you've ridden a bus - where to where?
From El Paso to Mexico City - took 24 hours... but only cost $8 (1973)... was very ricketty and more than a little scary!

How did you acquire your first car or other transport?
I went to the used car lot and bought it!

If you're moving along a street parallel to railroad tracks, do you ever feel like you're racing a train?
With a lot of those American freight trains, you can beat them easily!

What do you do while sitting in a car and waiting to cross busy railroad tracks?
Our trains aren't as long as yours (especially your freight trains), so they don't take long to pass by - less than a minute usually. No time to do anything much. The longest train I remember waiting for was in Reno, NV - it must have taken at least ten minutes to pass... at least that's what it felt like.

What funny or weird things have you seen or heard of people doing while waiting there or at stop lights?
I haven't seen anything other than people applying lipstick, reading the paper or shaving etc. but I tend not to stare into other cars.

How about while driving?
I've seen nothing myself, but there was a video item on our news the other day about a woman with no hands on the wheel, driving at 100kph on the freeway while using both hands to eat a Slurpee (or something similar). When she wasn't eating the Slurpee, she was texting.

Bonus Hossie Question:
Would you rather ride:
-a stagecoach in an old west movie?
This
-a horse drawn sleigh through snow on a farm?
-a carriage through a rainy park in a big city?
-horseback in a parade?
-on the Budweiser beer wagon pulled by Clydesdales?
-or
(please describe) other hossie powered transport?

Foodie and Bevvie Questions:
If you drink beer or rootbeer, what kinds?
No beer or root beer for me thanks.

What prepackaged or box dinners have you tried?
(ex. Hamburger Helper, but there are others)
None. I don't think we have hamburger helper here. How much help does a hamburger need?

Do you eat or make salad sandwiches - like ham, chicken, or egg?
I'm not a fan of multiple ingredients in a sandwich - I quite often have a lettuce sandwich... yup, just a stack of lettuce in between two buttered slices of bread!

What other salad or made-from-a-mix sammiches can you think of?
None!

Thanks bjh.

Happy Thursday to all.

Today's Moving Questions:
What's the furthest you've ridden a bus - where to where? Southern California to many points in Northern California.

How did you acquire your first car or other transport? Paid cash for a used '78 Chevy Monza. Less than $1,000, I think.

If you're moving along a street parallel to railroad tracks, do you ever feel like you're racing a train? Never really paid attention.

What do you do while sitting in a car and waiting to cross busy railroad tracks? Turn the car's engine off and listen to the radio while watching the train going by...and going by...and going by.

What funny or weird things have you seen or heard of people doing while waiting there or at stop lights? I've seen men shaving with electric razors and women applying makeup while stopped at the stoplight.

How about while driving? A few times, I've seen people in the next lane picking their noses.

<--This sounds like fun.
-or
(please describe) other hossie powered transport?

Foodie and Bevvie Questions:
If you drink beer or rootbeer, what kinds? Not a beer drinker. I like Barq's root beer the best.

What prepackaged or box dinners have you tried? Shake & Bake for chicken and pork chops (not sure if this counts?). Also the Marie Callender's frozen lasagnas are pretty good.
(ex. Hamburger Helper, but there are others)

Do you eat or make salad sandwiches - like ham, chicken, or egg? Chicken, egg or tuna salad.

What other salad or made-from-a-mix sammiches can you think of? Can't think of any right now other than the above.

Enjoy the first Thursday in October! We're going to be in a heat wave in the mid and upper 90s over the next few days.
