The fast food worker probably got a reward too. It's good to hear there are still good honest people around.

Thumbs up There are some moral people left

Do unto others.........He will go to Heaven.

I can only try to imagine the horror the person who lost the check felt and then the happiness when this admirable person returned it to him

Sorry, but returning a $185,000 check doesn't get one into Heaven.

I don't think he would have been able to cash that check anyways, so he might as well return it. He would probably be in serious trouble if he tried and got caught.

That is the exact reason that I fail to see why this story made national news- it's not as if he saw $185K in cash and returned it- it was a check. Great that the check writer didn't have to go through the hassle of cancelling and reissuing the check, but the guy that found it wouldn't have gained anything by keeping it.
