From personal experience, the day of the super bowl is the best day to go to the mall. Very quiet.

Relief break and a run to the restroom
Get another beer from the kitchen
Check on the bbq and see why it’s smoking more than normal
Make another relief break to the restroom
Get more chips and dip from the kitchen
Check outside and yell at the neighbors for supporting the other team
See if there are more snacks
Make the phone call to your brother in law and see if the bet is still good
Let the dog out in the backyard
Get another beer from the refrigerator
Yell at the dog again to stop barking at the neighbor’s cat
Make another trip to the bathroom
Check the radio to see if they are announcing the same game information as on tv
Run through the closet and find that good luck charm
Get another beer
Check the bbq again
Make a trip to the bathroom
Fall asleep on the couch

Well, years ago when the Cowboys ruled it would have been different. If I see any of the game it would be fleeting glance while changing channels. Though the kids will be going to the in-laws to watch the game. The G kids won't be here so... maybe a long nap or take the dog for a walk.

Ironically, the halftime show is usually the only part of the super bowl I watch, if someone I like is on there. I will be watching for sure this year, but that's the only part I usually see.

I will agree with what kab said about places being slow. I don't get why people feel the need to watch hours of pregame shows that day.
