Feeling quite content right now. Being lazy, lying in bed, one of my dogs is resting her head on my feet. I can smell coffee brewing downstairs and my husband is singing along to a Christmas record he just put on the turntable.

Sunday was bittersweet for me. I went to the memorial service for a former co-worker, long retired, who recently died at age 91. After I came home, Mr. Bay and I put the Christmas tree in its stand and decorated it. Joy and sadness all in one day. That's life, I guess.
I feel rather calm considering I'm having blood work done on Wed to determine if I passed pre-diabetic stage into full blown diabetes and a brain MRI later in the week. At peace whatever the results.
