In cooking should ingredients be carefully measured or is it okay to wing it?

What places are so nice people who live there might not need a vacation?

How do you layer clothing for warmth?

Do you wear sweaters indoors in winter?

Do you own any sweater vests?

How do you rate yourself as a wrapper of gifts?

Do you like Irish coffee or have you never tried it?

What are your favorite words containing or ending in "-ght"?

Good evening.

In cooking should ingredients be carefully measured or is it okay to wing it?
First option for a beginner and second for a more experienced person.

Up in the mountains, or near the ocean, or in the countryside, Provence in France, Tuscany in Italy etc.
How do you layer clothing for warmth?
Blouse, cardigan, jacket, scarf.
Do you wear sweaters indoors in winter?
Yes, daily.
Do you own any sweater vests?
No but I'm working on one. You can see some of my knits here in my album.
How do you rate yourself as a wrapper of gifts?
Great.
Do you like Irish coffee or have you never tried it?
Never. I don't drink coffee.
What are your favorite words containing or ending in "-ght"?

In cooking should ingredients be carefully measured or is it okay to wing it? I'm not a good person to ask. If I cook, it's meat in the oven or frying pan and vegetables in the microwave. Don't follow any recipes.

What places are so nice people who live there might not need a vacation? Don't know. Don't know why some people like the beach (summer vacation in Florida) and others prefer skiing (winter vacation in Vermont). Where do the people who live in those places go on vacation? My "vacations" are determined by bird migration. I doubt if anyone who lives near a wildlife refuge spends every day of their vacation in another one.

How do you layer clothing for warmth? short sleeved shirt, long sleeved shirt, hoodie, pants.

Do you wear sweaters indoors in winter? Don't own any sweaters.

Do you own any sweater vests? See above answer.

How do you rate yourself as a wrapper of gifts? I rate my gift wrapping skills right up there with my sewing and drawing skills.

Do you like Irish coffee or have you never tried it? Don't drink coffee or booze. It's not because I have anything against either. Just don't like the taste.

What are your favorite words containing or ending in "-ght"? fright (movies, books) and right

In cooking should ingredients be carefully measured or is it okay to wing it?
It depends. A novice cook should always measure. Experienced cooks may be able to eyeball it without ruining the recipe.
What places are so nice people who live there might not need a vacation?
Malibu, Hawaii, San Francisco (yes, I'm biased), Santa Barbara, Monaco, Southern Spain, the Côte d'Azur.
How do you layer clothing for warmth?
I have silk long johns but rarely need to wear them. Where I live, a sweater or light jacket is usually enough.
Do you wear sweaters indoors in winter?
Sometimes.
Do you own any sweater vests?
No, I don't.
How do you rate yourself as a wrapper of gifts?
Badly in need of a remedial gift wrapping course.
Do you like Irish coffee or have you never tried it?
Yes, and I believe that it was invented here in San Francisco.
What are your favorite words containing or ending in "-ght"?
delight
fraught
height

Thanks, PegE!

In cooking should ingredients be carefully measured or is it okay to wing it?
Unless it's baking or pastries and has to be exact to come out right, then winging it is okay.
What places are so nice people who live there might not need a vacation?
Napa
How do you layer clothing for warmth?
Tee shirt, polo or short sleeve button up shirt, if needed a long sleeve button up over those.
If going outside a light jacket over that or a coat if it's cold. Coat over light jacket if really cold.

Rarely. More likely layered as described above.

Maybe one or two somewhere. Been a long time.

Got okay at it when I was a kid. Also been a while.

Like coffee black, cream sweetener okay once in a while. Not a whiskey drinker.
What are your favorite words containing or ending in "-ght"?
Bright, draught, ought, light, right, and now I've seen it in previous answers delight.

In cooking should ingredients be carefully measured or is it okay to wing it?

Depends on the cook's skills and experience. I don't. I also like to experiment.

Lots of places are very nice to live, but taking off from work is very important for mental and physical well-being.

Light sweaters. I keep my home pretty cool in Winter.

Do you own any sweater vests?

Living in a fairly cold country, l own all kind of sweaters.

How do you rate yourself as a wrapper of gifts?

OK wrapper. I could do much better, following awesome tutorials on YT.

Do you like Irish coffee or have you never tried it?

I tried and I liked it, but generally l am not a coffee drinker.

What are your favorite words containing or ending in "-ght"?

In cooking should ingredients be carefully measured or is it okay to wing it? - Back when I used to do it I always carefully measured.

What places are so nice people who live there might not need a vacation? - I wouldn't know as I am not well travelled.

Not in this area (include Washington, DC and suburbs), that's for sure...

How do you layer clothing for warmth? - Not usually but it could depend on how cold it is and if I had to spend time outside during the winter.

Do you wear sweaters indoors in winter? - No

Do you own any sweater vests? - Nope

How do you rate yourself as a wrapper of gifts? - The last time I wrapped a gift was in the mid-1980s when I helped a then neighbor. From what I remember I was pretty good.

Do you like Irish coffee or have you never tried it? - No coffee for me of any kind.

What are your favorite words containing or ending in "-ght"? - Just off the top. Likely more but I just woke up, LOL:

Light, slight, daylight, might. night, and plight, are used and okay, I guess.

I left out "right" on purpose...
