Cool! James Bond's old Aston Martin had a revolving license plate - he might have got the idea from that.

When I had my Vette (="invitation to speed") I bought a special license-plate cover that supposedly diffracted the cameras at stop lights. It would show up on film as just a blur, even if I was just sitting there.
