Is it just me or is the term ''Folks'' being used more and more over the last several years especially on these online forums. I always remembered ''Listen up people '' or '' Listen up everyone'' alot back in the 80's/90's and now it's ''Listen up folks''.

Wad ya think .

I think "folks" sounds more civil than "people" or "hey use guys!"

Folks has always been used in this area.."How are you folks doing?" "Gonna visit the old folks home". " My folks live over in the next holler."
"I will have to send a note to your folks about your grades"

I think it's an age thing for me. In my 20's or 30's, I would never have used that term, but now I'm in my 40's, and it sounds good to me..lol..

people take offense alot. they redefine themselves from time to time and decide certain language is hurting them and demand change. this empowers them or so they think.
it goes on and on. have you noticed that successful people dont waste time being offended.
and that losers are being offended 24/7. being offended is natures way of stay away from me.
