To all of my friends here at C-D. Just want to let you know that my computer died on 10/26, and we haven't been able to get it fixed yet. I miss being here at C D and miss all of my C D friends.
I hope you all have a wonderful and Blessed Thanksgiving.

SR, I hope you can get it fixed soon. Last year, when I moved, it was a month before DH could come down and I was here all alone, no computer to talk with my CD friends (sniff, sniff). I found a coffeehouse that had a couple 'puters for customers and increased an already nasty caffeine habit!
I'm sure your computer is now in computer heaven, having a good time with all of those pre Pentium 3 computers, without having to worry about viruses, and all of the other bad things that go around the internet these days. We should also have a memorial service here for you computer.
Okay, aside from this humor to hopefully cheer you up... If you can, I would suggest buying the components, like the case, motherboard, processor, disk drive, DVD burner, memory modules, fans, electrical supply, video and sound cards, the Windows XP or Vista operating system, or whichever operating system you prefer, and any other components you might need, from outlets like Fry's Electronics, and put the computer together, or have somebody put it together for you. You'll not only have a custom-build computer, but you'll 1) save some money, 2) you won't get any of the promotional and extra garbage manufacturers like Dell, Gateway, HP/Compaq, and all other computer makers, always include when you purchase the new computer. You can also install only the software you need, and not the stuff they'll give you, and you'll probably never use.
