There must be a reason you joined City-Data Forums. I came across City-Data.com when I was looking for demographic information of Hawaii. I had always wanted to live there. After browsing through the city information I checked the forums and instantly became overwhelmed by all the information you can obtain from the community.
I joined on January 2008 and moved was actually able to move to Hawaii in late 2008. The forums were very helpful and allowed me to make less mistakes thanks to peoples input.
I started because I was looking for info about a possible move to Oklahoma or north Texas. From there I wandered into the Politics, Religion, and that kind of forum. Got dizzy from the circular arguments but found my way out and was rescued by some kind souls from Other Topics and Community Chat
My original motive was extortion. However, since folks around here are so nice, I had a change of heart. I eventually decided to dabble in blackmail and offer rebates. It's a white elephant to be sure, but I get by.
My original motive was to get info about San Antonio and Austin,TX. because I knew I was moving to one of those two places. Then I got sucked into the rest of the forum and here I am today - bustin' caps in people's asses!!!
(BTW - after moving to TX, I couldn't wait to get back home to CA. 9 months later - I was back home where I started from! )
Wanted info on Tyler, TX where our music pastor & family were about to move. Saw a post about my hometown which I had to comment about and the rest, as they say, is history!
