#1) Paris Hilton (easily took first place)
#2) Britney Spears ( in desperate need of attention)
#3) Lindsay Lohan (annoying, ditz)
#4) Nicloe Ritchie (no talent, no nothing)

Anna Nicole Smith. Let it drop! SHEESH! Every other word I hear anymore is still "Anna Nicole this" or "Anna Nicole that." Man, if I knew death could boost one's popularity through the roof, I'd have taken my own life years ago.

Paris- if I never hear about her in 30 years-it is too soon
Jessica Simpson- acne ads-time to retire
Al Sharpton feud w/ some atheist- that was on news all night- I tuned it out
Jennifer Aniston- no talent- got divorced-move on
Jolie /Pitt split; Jolie/Pitt in Africa- whatever-
Basically any news story (i.e. Alec Baldwin, etc- that for some reason the US media determines we have to hear about every day-) everything so focused on this bs while our country and economy falls apart!
Oh, and don't forget the latest publicity stunt- um,er, I mean cry for help -David [I-might-be-chit-faced drunk,but-I-am-still-so-buff] Hasselhoff!?! Hello???, this guy is no spring chicken by ANY stretch of the imagination but he doesn't have one ounce of flab showing while he is in his "drunken stupor"???
That is what I noticed, and believe me, I have seen plenty of drunks. Oh, and his 'distraught daughter'? Call me cynical, but I can almost visualize them in the editing room!

i dont care for tom cruise & katie holmes,david & victoria beckham,jlo & lil mark anthony,beyonce,madonna,cindy crawford,eva langoria,ashley olsen,jessica simpson & her freak sister,all the morons from american idol since season 1.dancing with the retards,oh....i can go on & on & on.
All of the above by the sound of it, though I have never heard of most of them ! I must be such a nerd but I actually make a concerted effort to avoid coming into contact of any kind with these "news"( and it's gerring harder), and have managed to shun adverts and such for quite a while now. It takes effort but it's worth it ! Even when I go to the movies ,during the ads, I actually close my eyes and listen to my IPOD instead so as not be polluted by all the trash the ad men try to force on me. I honestly can't remember the last advert I saw !! Adverts have always made me feel exploited, a feeling I loathe and brings out the worst in me. What goes into my brain should be MY choice.
I agree with all of these, especially the glut of info on Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, and Lindsey Lohan. This trio of young women is the biggest waste of space ever. They could be using their money and celebrity status to do so much good in the world, but no... Instead they're out partying all night, flagrantly disregarding the law, etc.
What's really funny to me is how suddenly rehab is the cure-all for everything! If you fly off the handle and say something that isn't politically correct... go into rehab! Does rehab cure people's racist rants?! Somehow I seriously doubt it. Also, I thought this country had free speech. Oh, but then again, it's only free speech if it's PC! But don't get me started... And no, I'm not trying to highjack this thread.
It is a double standard- some celebs complain when they get trailed by paparazzi- but that is how (most) of them survive; the media feeds it-so even if they have no talent (IMO most of them) they get popularized.
The rehab issue is also ridiculous, but even in the 80's became popular with the Betty Ford clinic/Liz Taylor etc. I just wish we (the audience) didnt have to hear about it, I guess the news has such low ratings that they have to throw in celeb trash- I avoid it as well- I only watch TCM and maybe Larry King and CNN for regular news but even that is like a tabloid lately.
