Default Cupid-ity. . . nothing to do with Cupid, then?

If you see a penny on the street do you pick it up ?

Always.
Superstitious, I am. Picking one up, heads-up is good luck. Still, I can't ignore it, if it's tails-up -- just throw it over my left shoulder to negate the bad luck of having picked up a tails-up penny. Plus, if you pick up a heads-up penny, and give it to someone, both of you will supposedly have good luck. Luck me, Baby.

When it comes to books I feel I am pretty "smart", but when it comes to technology, and especially newer technology, I can feel pretty "dumb" ?

I have had this cell phone of mine, for many years. It is only the second model I have ever owned, and every time I go into the cell phone joint, some techie laughs at the 'dinosaur.' Then, when they look at my account, they'll say, "Hey, Platinum-level Customer (I was almost taken aback until I realized it wasn't my hair they were commenting on), you qualify for the newest, you know?" Nah, I just defer the savvy deals to college-aged daughter, who has yet to take the time to show me how to set-up and then use my voice-mail features. I laugh every time I see new text message, and think to myself, well, I hope it ain't important. Text message? Fugged-about-it. Seriously. I still like my IBM Selectric typewriter!

In honor of "Get a Different Name Day"
What name would you pick ?

My given name is Elizabeth, and I always wanted to be an Izzy. When my friends in JR HS started calling me Izzy of their own accord, my Mother threw an absolute fit. She had nicknamed me 'Beth Ann,' and as far as she was concerned, I would be 'Beth Ann.' To this day, I despise Beth Ann, although it is pretty-on-the-tongue, and go by 'Beth.' Still, I'd like to be Izzy.

Madly in Love with MR RDSLOTS Day. Today, and tomorrow, and the next -- until he pisses-me-off.

J-E-L-L-O Day. Let's fill-up a hot tub with the stuff, and jump in, n-e-k-k-i-d, as hubby likes to say. 'Naked' is how you are in the bath. 'Nekkid' lands you in trouble. Maybe.

Get a Different Name Day. Call me Izzymael, to borrow a most famous first line in a long, long novel of whale proportions.

Today's Question(s):

Well I have to admit, that was the best $20 I ever spent ?

Details here I just bought a box set off Amazon last week. I thought it was just the four episodes of this mini series, but it turns out when I opened it it was the four episodes and the full-length movie. Everyone else online was selling this box set for about $60+, but apparently I ordered from the manufacturer and they were having a sale.

Bonus Question:
Yesterday was "lost penny day" so today we need to know

If you see a penny on the street do you pick it up ?
Sometimes. I used to go out of my way to pick them up but now I'm more selective. Anything more than a penny and I'll pick it up though.

Do you do anything special with said pennies ?
Put it in my change purse. When I have enough change I wrap it up and take it to the bank.

Extra Credit Question:

When it comes to English and grammar I feel I am pretty "smart", but when it comes to Math *groan* I can feel pretty "dumb" (more like really really dumb)?

Just for Fun:

Will any of our QOTD family be watching the Daytona 500 race ?
Nope. My brother likes to tune it towards the end when things really start getting interesting.

How many of our QOTD family have a 3 day weekend ?
Nope. I have class Monday, but I have a three-day weekend next week.

In honor of "Get a Different Name Day"
What name would you pick ?
