BOSTON, April 26 (UPI) -- Boston police said two women attacked a man with their fists, feet, purses and a plate of pasta because he neglected to hold an elevator door for them.
Investigators said Kenyana McQuay, 27, and Waltia Funches, 28, told officers Mohammed Warsame "didn't hold the elevator door open as they walked into the building" so "they had to use their fists, their bags and their feet to teach him a lesson," the Boston Herald reported Monday.
A total lack of manners on both sides of the door. I'd put the three of them in the elevator together for a day to work things out. That would be better than wasting taxpayer money trying to figure things out.
Police said Warsame was also covered in pasta from a plate of noodles the women dumped on him. He told police he tried to fend them off by throwing bottles of water.
Too bad they don't have the whole thing on an elevator video..........
I was in Miami once and there was this older lady pushing a man in a wheelchair and she was trying to lean over the chair to push the door open and it was kind of a stretch and awkward. I was walking in the drugstore as she was struggling to get out so I did the customary, "Oh here, let me get that for you." gesture and all HELL BROKE LOOSE. She started ranting and raving at me like a lunatic just SCREAMING at me "WHAT!!!! YOU THINK I'M TOO OLD AND CAN'T OPEN A DOOR!!! IS THAT WHAT YOU THINK. I CAN OPEN A DOOR....WHO ASKED YOU TO OPEN THE DOOR!!' and on and on and she raised her cain at me and I thought 'oh holy hell what did I get myself into now.' I just turned around and walked away and I could still hear her ranting and raving at me all the way down the street. So you just never know what to expect from people.

Yes, you never know, but I hope this hasn't deterred you from being helpful or polite. I think it's just good manners and kindness to offer or try to assist people if they appear to need assistance, and I think most people still realize that and receive it with gratitude.

Oh, no, it hasn't deterred me, I just saw it as a freak thing that occured. But it really was unexpected and extreme.
