The Coco Mat --- Natural Mat

I'm going to get an organic mattress and have pretty much decided on this one. I've read some reviews on amazon and haven't come across any bad ones, everyone I read glowed about it. Also was considering the Naturepedic mattresses but the one I wanted was $360 compared to this one at $289.
I thought all baby products had to be fire retardant.

It is fire retardant, but without the chemicals.

Amazon.com: Natural Mat Coco Mat: Baby
"Natural Mat mattresses fit US crib sizes and pass all US flame retardant standards without the use of chemical or unnatural treatments in any part of the mattress"

True, but when you consider how much people pay for TVs and electronics for their own entertainment, a $289 crib mattress to potentially keep your child safe seems pretty cheap to me. FYI I didn't buy it at amazon, it was cheaper elsewhere.

(I'd also appreciate it if you came back and told us if it has an aroma. I'm curious.)
Well I got the mattress about a week ago. It didn't smell at all. It seems well made and very firm, which I guess is what you want in a baby mattress. He's been sleeping on it about 4 days now and seems comfortable. It fit the crib very well too. All in all I am happy with it.

Good to know, Nova! If you like it and your little one likes it, that's what counts.
