Good morning all! Happy Hump Day! How is everyone today?

Any Gleeks out there? The story line and I parted ways some time ago, but I still think the music is phenomenal. Anyway Gwyneth Paltrow was the guest last night, and she sang a pretty cover of one of my fave Adele songs.

OMG! That's ridiculous!

Most of the kids who I heard went the IB route did it because their parents forced them. Not all, but most. Our DS did not want to be a part of that crowd. Once he started highschool, we left all those choices up to him. He also chose not to be in NHS.

The post in the thread was so condescending. As if only those kids have goals, etc. Whatever. I think many parents judge their worth/parenting by what grades their child is getting, if they are "gifted", etc.

The other thing I don't get - if people want to just get responses that agree with them and validate their choices, why post something on the internet? Get all huffy when they are given a different point of view?

Okay, rant over!

Good morning everyone!

MM - sounds like you got everything done!

Is she permanently on that show now? I think I watched the first episode but couldn't go past that. I'm not huge on musical type shows.

I'm a little embarrassed to admit I've been watching Dancing with the Stars.....

She was just a one-time guest. I don't watch all that regularly any more, but do watch the musical number. Some amazingly talented singers on that show.

My daughter and I watch DWTS together sometimes. I don't watch that regularly either, it's a big time commitment with lots of ads and lots of fluff. I used to watch Idol, but have only watched one episode this season.

This is the first time in years we've watched Idol. One show I really, really like is So You Think You Can Dance. Love that show.

The only reality show I watch with any regularity is The Amazing Race. There are a lot of great new shows on at the moment, it's hard to keep up. I have heard The Killing, and The Game of Thrones are both worth watching, but haven't got around to them yet.

Do love Amazing Race too.

We don't have paid t.v., so we don't have access to shows if they aren't either live, Hulu (which we use a lot) or Netflix.

We are about to ditch cable too. Don't watch enough to justify the expense.

We are having crazy weather at the moment. Our forecast for this afternoon - tornadoes.....again! 3rd time in one week. Someone must have really ticked off the weather gods.

I adore the Amazing Race. I watched Glee for a while but got burned out. I don't like Dancing with the Stars. I watched Cougar Town instead.
Elisabeth's Sladen's death has been all over the place. My mother texted me about it because she read it in the Providence Journal. It is on the front page of MSNBC and the IMDB and was trending at number 5 in USA twitter and number 4 on Twitter in the the Boston area. She had a lot of fans in the USA
