Hope she recovers well. Miscarriage is devastating and I'm sure she's grieving even though she has 19 kids at home.
The fact that she discovered it at a routine ob-gyn exam in her second trimester probably means she will need to have a D&C, which just makes the whole experience that much more awful.
I also thought that was crazy to cart baby Josie around the world. Clue in, she was born a premmie, that means she has special needs. I don't think these people are the brightest bulbs on the tree.
I have posted in another thread, but here it goes-I have nothing in common with my neighbors the Duggars.( after all I'm a crazy liberal) but I don't care if you are 16 or 45 years old,if it's your 1st pregnancy or your 20th- a lost pregnancy hurts. (especially in the 2nd trimester) is a huge loss. God Bless the Duggars!
Heard about the miscarriage. Sad but at least the older girls won't have one more kid to take care of. Notice how THEY do most of the work.
This is my main issue with having all of these kids. I feel so bad for those older girls. They don't seem to mind, and they have great attitudes, but this is all they know. When I was flipping through channels and saw one of the girls "teaching" the younger ones for "mom", I was floored. Not only has Michelle got them raising the younger ones, now they are teaching them.
I do feel very bad for them. It is very sad to lose a baby but I do hope they will see this as a "sign" that maybe it's time for their family to be complete and they can now concentrate on the children they are still raising.
Depending on how far along she is, she may have to be induced and deliver the baby normally. It's beyond devastating. For all of you saying it's for the best...I hope you never have the experience that will let you realize what a horrible thing that is to say.

I dont think anyone thinks her losing the baby is for the best. Just more of a sign saying ok your done quit putting your body through this.
I am so sorry she had a miscarriage, I am sure, no matter how many children you have, it is very difficult to go through.
With that said, maybe this should be an indication to them that possibly her body just can't endure this again. 19 children? Honestly, I think it is fairly selfish on their behalf as those kids aren't getting the attention that children should get from their parents, the siblings are raising each other.
How do they afford all of these kids, the food, the clothing, their activities,etc...? Honestly, we have a mid 100k income with only 2 children and we are worried about how to put them through college when the time comes...
