Here's on of those things you'd never think were dangerous but apparently could (and does) result in a broken leg.

This happened to my best friends son. Dad had his son sit in front of him and his leg got stuck, but dad kept going...snapped his leg. He was only about 18 months old!

I think it would depend on the wideness of the slide. I've done it many times with my son. Of course I will think twice about doing it with my younger but I really don't see how it could happen on the slides we have around here. They're all built like water slides.

I hope accidents like the ones in the article don't result in people taking slides out of playgrounds.

Its about time this menace got the media attention it deserves. Slides are child abuse, plain and simple.

I've done it lots of times but was able to intuit that I need to keep an eye on her legs and make sure they stayed in front of her.

Oh jeez, gimme a break.

Watch, because a few dummies that don't know how to slide with their child in their lap will begin the demise of slides on the playground.
