Trinitee has been on a sippy cup since 6 months old. Didnt even seem to notice the change. Well the cup she uses has a silicone spout and is REALLY hard to clean. YOu can only use it about 2 weeks and the nipple gets to the point of not being able to clean and so it cant be used and I have to buy new ones. No big deal a 2 pack is about 6 or 7 dollars. Well I think they may have stopped making them? I cant find them ANYWHERE and all I can find are the hard plastic spout ones.

I did find some of the same brand but theyre the next step up and they dont have the exact same nipple thing. These whenever she drinks them they go in and you have to untwist the cap to make it come back out. So while shes drinking I have to do that about 4 times.

I have serched high and low for the cups she will use. Right now im in a spot where its either find the cups in the next day or 2 or put her back to a bottle. I really dont want to do that shes almost 1.

The first 2 pictures are of her cup that she loves. See the crud in there if I do find them again any ideas on cleaning ive done it all boil steam get in with a qtip and toothpick. The 2nd 2 are of the cup with the spout problem any ideas how to fix that?

I used q-tips on my kids' sippy cups when they used them.

Have you tried eBay?

Doesn't the silicone part snap on and off? Can't you just boil it or something to clean it?

This looks similar: http://www.meijer.com/s/nuby-easy-gr...ack/_/R-177594

Ive done that I boiled it I steamed it I let it soak in bleach. The residue just wont come off.

I have looked through ebay and havent turned up with anything. They do have some replacement spouts for sale but I cant remember if the brand is NUK or Nuby I have to check when I get home.

I have a bottle scrubber/brush that has a tiny scrubber in the handle - I use the scrubber for our water bottles, and the tiny one for the straw in my son's water bottle. I bet the tiny one would fit inside that spout very well. I just picked one up the other day for my sister, so I know they still make them.

Another perspective - if the residue won't come off with boiling, bleaching, or steaming, it's unlikely to come off when she drinks.

How old is she? Maybe it's time to move to a straw?

If it won't come off with boiling and steaming, why do you think it's going to come off to go in his mouth?

I also second the tiny brush idea.

I am guessing you may not be able to find them because they may have contained the chemical BPA, which has just been banned for use in baby bottles and sippy cups.

The second cup looks like the Nuby sippy that my son uses. I've found that it collapses when the silicone part isn't fully in place, or when the lid has been cranked on too tightly (usually Daddy's fault, hehehe). I don't let my son walk around all day with his cup; he drinks his milk and then I rinse the cup out right away. Any gunk that is left gets scrubbed out with a bottle brush. I turn the nipple part inside out and it all comes out easily.

I think they're hard to find because they're popular. I know mine don't contain BPA. In fact, I bought mine at Target, where they had signs up stating that none of their plastic food-related items contain BPA.

Or just a regular old-fashioned cup?
