I wasn't trying to offend you but it's just plain dumb for anyone to say that they are 100% certain that their pet dog would never hurt anyone. Unless you have the ability to predict the future you cannot possibly know this to be true.
Indeed. Every child who was bitten by a family pet had parents who believed it would never happen. Because if they did think it could happen, they would have taken precautions. Very rare would be the parent who WANTED their child to be mauled. That's the lesson that people should remember every time they read of a child being bitten. Their parents weren't evil...they were just blind. They too thought it would never, ever happen.

That's kind of abuse to the dog. You don't allow children to do that to an animal. Children don't know how rough they are, and the baby is jumping on the dog's rib cage? I understand they want to show the dog that the kid is it's master, but that's just too much right there.

Whoops, A "Jack Daniels Terrior"? I meant a Jack Russell terrior.
And by all means, keep away from terriors who had Jack Daniels.

I totally would've bitten the kid. And then I would've bitten the parents. I don't even mean "if I were the dog."
