So I know the first thing you're gonna think is, "everyone thinks his baby is the cutest." But this isn't just me. People stop us literally every time we go out and stare, oogle, and tell us that she is the most beautiful baby they have ever seen. If that many people think so, I think she ought to do some toy and kid modeling and start earning some dough for private school and college, right?
But short of sending in photos for magazine contests, which even people with ugly babies are entering, how do we get her noticed by people that matter? I don't even know where to begin and would appreciate any personal leads or information from someone who knows how the whole thing works. I DO NOT want her in any sort of "beauty pageant" (I find that disturbing) but for photos of things like toys, baby food, etc it would be cool if there is decent money in it. Hell, I'd quit my job to manage it for her if it works out.
Does anyone here know how to get started?

Get an agent. That's the ONLY way you will find out about such openings.
I suspect the Parenting forum is the place for "how to" advice on this topic.

I'll check out the parenting forum - I didn't' realize there was one here. I only read the Raleigh forum on a regular basis.
I know that I would probably need an agent, but how to get one is what I don't know how to do.

Put her picture on here and we can all vote 1-10.
One being the ugliest baby ever and 10 the cutest.

Everyone says our baby is one of the cutest ever. How to get into baby "modeling"?
Please don't think I'm "one of those parents" who thinks his baby is the best ever. I think she's cute, but that's my job...but after 9 months of fatherhood, this isn't just me. People stop us literally every time we go out and stare, oogle, and tell us that she is the most beautiful baby they have ever seen. "She should be in a magazine." Etc.
If that many people think so, I think she ought to do some toy and kid modeling and start earning some dough for private school and college, right?

Does anyone here know how to get started in a legitimate and non-creepy "baby modeling" career?

You will need to move to NYC. There isn't much money in baby modeling so I would save the trouble of an expensive move and just be happy with the compliments from all those people with "ugly" babies.

Great. You'd be willing to quit your job so your BABY can support YOU instead of the other way around? I find that pretty high in the "disturbing" department - along with baby beauty pageants....
ETA - I suppose you could look to the following for "role model" information:
Mr. Spears, Mr. Lohan, Mr. Gosselin......

I wouldn't be so quick to judge. Who says I need supporting? How do you know I'm not financially independent and simply want to spend more time with my daughter? Maybe I work because I want to and not because I need to.
