What's Google got to do with it? Three of our family members have celiac, two of them diagnosed between 18mth-2 yrs after repeated hospital visits. And actually at 6 months, one would expect that she probably is now starting to be gradually exposed to foods other than breast milk or formula, which would be when you might start to see food allergies developing.
But yes, her doctors will be figuring it all out one way or another.
Now we know allergy has been ruled out. The other thing is, the first food introduced is generally rice cereal, which does not contain gluten. Nor do fruits and veggies, which come next.

^^ this in addition to the fact that celiac disease, while part of a differential diagnosis, is not the first at 6 months of age and does not present suddenly, as these symptoms have.
They have excluded food allergy. They think viruses is the reason.
I think becasuse the doctors can actually see the test results and have a first hand view of the clinical picture, you'll have to go with whatever it is that they say -- by now I'm sure there have been a number of them looking into her case -- but as a parent, you can always get other medical opinions from other specialists if you're not happy with how particular doctors are doing on your child's case.
did they rule out rotovirus? These can last for a long time, and even get better and then worse again.
Also, it is possible she's getting the norovirus or stomach flu one after the other, there are different strains so you can catch it multiple times. Is she in daycare or around other kids a lot?
Also, has she been tested for giardia or parasites? What are her diet and living conditions like?
I'll let you googlers in on a secret: When a child has persistent diarrhea, it is SOP to send stool samples to the lab for cultures, plus ova and parasite testing. As a triage nurse, that is what my fellow triagers and I recommend; we don't even have to ask the dr. This is not rocket science. Surely this child's doctors have thought of this. Also, they surely have asked about daycare attendance, travel, etc. "Stomach flu" is a layperson's term. There is really no such thing.
This child's "diet" should be mainly breast milk/formula and a few other foods such as rice cereal, fruits and veggies. Now it is possible to pick up an intestinal illness even on such a diet, just sayin', this child should not be ingesting a wide variety of foods that may be contaminated.
Like Katiana, I think it's irresponsible for us to speculate about the cause of this child's illness. OP, you have my sincere wishes that your daughter's medical team gets to the bottom of things and soon has her on the road to recovery.
Please take your child to a doctor, or even two or more for second or third opinions. This is actually not the type of question one should ask on a forum given the severity of the situation as you've described it. As such, I'm closing this thread.
Good luck and all the best for your daughter's health.
