Canada has a live-in caregiver program for hiring immigrants.

Determine your eligibility; Hiring a live-in caregiver

Live-in caregivers

My girlfriend is Canadian. Her caregiver became such a part of their family they were sad they couldn't bring her with them to the United States. She said the program is sort of like slave labor so please pay yours fairly if you go this route. Since Canada has this program, you might be able to find an immigrant who is already living in Canada, which will eliminate the need to meet the requirements in the first link. You might have an easier time finding someone to fill this position than American families in the US.
