Yes, I can see why you're called a frustrated hippy.
Let's just be thankful that in most families the opinions of children is far less important than the opinions of the wiser, better educated and more worldly parents.
I disagree with your opinion but whatever works best for you.
Regardless of who works and who doesn't, growing up in our family everyone had a say because that's how it was.
Regardless nothing. If you don't need a job to live, then your opinion on this topic doesn't really carry much weight as it's a decision you are unlikely to face.

I have faced it together with my family. I could face it now.
Disregard my opinion if you like. Makes no difference to me
Anyway, I've said all I'm going to say so I'm out. This place is like a kindergarten lunch table sometimes.
This post is making me so grateful to my parents for caring about what I had to say.
Me too!
My parents cared a great deal about what we had to say. They encouraged us to speak up. But did we have an equal voice? Lol, not in everything. We weren't in a financial position to decide a move based on someone's non-academic activities. Yep. The hammer would have come down if one of us said, "But I'm a cheerleader!"
"Overruled! Having an income is more important." (Since we enjoyed having food in the house we understood these things.)
