My son's grandmother and mother both know he asked to use it knowing who it belong to previously. What if we anything can i do. How old is your son? Did he borrow the laptop, or was it a gift? If it's the latter, and he is a minor, I think you can take it to a computer store/repair service and have it swept for viruses and porn. Then get some good blocks installed to prevent this from recurring.

If your son is a minor and the laptop was a loaner, return it to its present owner and tell them why you're bringing it back.

Also, have a good, frank talk with your son about sex - realism vs. porn. You are unlikely to get much control over his interests, but you can guide him into healthier behavior and a more realistic view of adult relationships.

This thread would probably get more targeted responses if it were moved to the Parenting section. Moderator/Peter, can you move it over? Thanks.

I'm not clear about what you want to do. Do you want to take the laptop away? Return it to someone? Confront your ex- wife and mother-in-law? Talk to your son about porn?

A little more information would be helpful.

^^^ I'm confused too. What you can do will depend on what you're trying to do.

Are you sure there's still porn on it? I would imagine the laptop was taken into evidence as part of the prosecution. They wouldn't leave child porn on there when returning evidence.

What exactly are you asking?

Delete the porn, and mention it to your child's mom. They might now even be aware it was on there and just wanted to give him the laptop to use.

Not sure what rights you are asking here. Delete the porn
