Curious how you all find a balance with kids' activities. It seems these days kids are very scheduled. How do you allow them to have fun while also having your own interests and not breaking the bank?

How do you manage it? It really depends on several factors, age, location, siblings...

Do you set a dollar amount? Travel distance? Season length? Not sure what age has to do with it.

Kids have different activities at different ages, and some get progressively more intense and there's always the school/homework issue.

How have YOU been handling it so far?

Age matters a lot!

As an example...
Beginner ice skating in rental skates and group lessons is WAY different than advanced skating with custom boots and private coaches.

How do you handle the balance with your young kids? Might help elicit the kinds of responses you would find helpful.
