dont' be too upset akm4- the culture is very different in Europe for one thing. I have had friends that had good experiences and not so good, and some where it was best to make a change very early on. (after 3 days, the student took a family car, no license, alcohol...wasn't pretty)

Thx crazyma. It was clear what needed to be done, but that didn't mean it was easy.

I agree the cultures are different. That's the appeal, right? To learn from each other. This problem wasn't cultural, though. Right and wrong, honesty and a lie; these are cross-cultural ideas.
