My son just turned 16. Last night he met his girl friend and some of her friends at a holiday street party. They had a ball and when I picked him up, he just couldn't stop talking about how much fun he had. He could have been scrapped off the ceiling of the car.
It was in the upper forties, cold for us, and after driving about ten miles, he was still telling me about the evening and, mid-sentence, he said "Awww...." I said, "What are you talking about?!" He replied, "There was a homeless man back there."
What a guy! I will have to remember that the next time he mutters things that I don't want to hear under his breathe as he stomps to his room when he gets into it with me
Sounds like he completed step one-recognizing a problem. It's a tough one.
So is step-two, doing something about a problem.
Look likes he's on the right track though
You're right. I was surprised that he even saw the guy, as it was dark out and he was talking. This is the same kid who was on the computer, 15 feet from the TV that he was watching and when I came home, he swore to me that he didn't see the dog turd on the rug right in between the two- LOL!

That turd was warm and cozy on your carpeting, not suffering in the cold weather without shelter.
