Does anyone have a suggestion for a meaningful activity to do with your son before his wedding?

Been there, done that. Twice in the past year.

Are you talking meaningful for a mom to do, or a dad to do?

For a mom or a dad, I would take a 4 day weekend trip with him... either to a place where you have fond memories or just a place where you can spend some quality time, eat at a few nice restaurants, see a show, etc.... Take lots of pictures, make an album for each of you when you get home.

I guess strip club is out of the question.

Just take him out to eat for real nice dinner.

I'd go on vacation with him. It will be the last one you get to enjoy with him alone--without wife and grandchildren in tow. It will be very meaningful to all of you.

take him to the laundromat and teach him how to properly do laundry -if he doesn't already know. then take him to a cooking school so he will know how to cook his own meals. then take him to an adult toy store so he will know what to buy his wife when he finally figures out there is a problem.....

This is the best advice I've ever seen for an engaged young man...up until the Adult Toy Store part. Teaching him how to properly do laundry and cook at least a few meals are excellent! I'd also add make sure he knows how to balance his checkbook, create a family budget and stick to it, and give him a general How To book on basic household maintenance (like fixing a toilet, unclogging a drain, etc).

I would certainly hope any person (man or woman) contemplating marriage, would already know most of that....

I'd like to think so, too... but I've seen too many that don't.

OP, how old is your son?
