The manager did say that they could place an order but they could not eat in the restaurant.

Yeah, it does seem a little silly, but I was one of those parents made sure my children had on at least socks at that age when we went to public places. It's basic respect for others as well as hygiene for your child. I've seen parents let their children run around in only a diaper at the playground, so these days, guess anything goes...

I'm more grossed out by people who should not be wearing cutoff shirts and shorts in public places are wearing just that....

So far, no lawsuit pending. But, once the parents are on the Today Show or Larry King....

Oh please. People are sooo uptight.

It was a BABY who couldn't even touch his bare feet to the ground so how does that cause a health risk???????

Is there a disease that can be spread by your feet when the air touches them?

I would have stayed. I would have acted as if I hadn't heard him and finished my meal.

By the time the police came (I'm sure they would have taken the long route) I would have finished my meal.

I can't see being arrested for such things.

I just viewed this video.

The mom put socks on the baby and it wasn't enough?

Some babies are too small for the "shoes" that are on the market. And why spend a bunch of money on shoes for a baby that they won't even wear in the first place????? Now, I did dress my girls completely from head to toe when they were babies and that included shoes. But in the summer when they were both around 6 months old most of the time they were barefooted. Heck, it's a 100 degrees outside, I'm not putting socks on myself and I'm sure not going to put them on my babies feet. Too stinkin hot.

That manager was just on a power trip and a complete IDIOT! I'm guessing he has never dealt w/ a baby that no matter what shoes or socks you put on a baby they kept taking them off and you would lose one or both of them. After awhile you just stop putting them on them and let their toes breathe.

If the complaint was from a snooty restaurant, it wouldn't be much of a surprise given the anti-child attitude that emanates from those places. It would still be uncalled for, of course.

But Burger King? They cater to trash!

(I am not saying the mother was trash, but that complaining about a baby not wearing shoes just makes no sense when they should be happy if their adult customers can keep their pants from dragging on the floor)

Babies do like to put their feet in their mouth though. Maybe the feet were covered with dried/caked remnants of the baby's previous bottle/meal??? But, if that was the case, i would've just asked the family to clean it up, rather than toss them out.

That's so silly. I don't even own shoes for my baby yet, and she rarely wears socks, especially if we're out, b/c it is HOT! I actually think it looks silly when people put shoes on babies who aren't even walking yet. What's the point of that?

I would have sat down and ate my meal as if nothing was ever said. It is absurd! Lawsuit worthy? No. She could have gone somewhere else if she wanted to sit down and enjoy her meal.

Nor will a 6 month old be walking around the store

But the moron probably doesn't say a thing when a parent sets their kid with a soggy loaded diaper on the counter that everyone's food crosses.
