I miss the bars on Animal Crackers. Squeaky wheels get too much attention.

Tastykake has slipped a little in quality and taste although they still do the best pumpkin snack pie around. I'd like to get them to do a german chocolate junior and a mince pie( no meat just the apple and raisin). They do a nasty eggnog pie and already do a french apple pie so its not too much to hope for.
It's gotta be Goods - the kind fried in lard! Goods iss zo gut! Also, Tommy Sturgis pretzels. Topped off with some Hippy's ring bolona and washed down with an A Treat birch beer. Dutch Lunch. Or a birch beer float with Turkey Hill vanilla ice cream. If you've never had one, you don't know what you're missing.

Right now I'd die for a V & S cheese steak sandwich. What passes for a cheese steak around here (Western PA), I wouldn't feed my cat. Pierogis and kielbassi are the culinary delights here - I've never acquired a taste for either.

Default Also lived in Monaca and miss

I also grew up in Monaca but was moved to Florida in the late 80's due to the steel mill issues back then.. I miss Hanks, JT's, and Galligers! We went to that little store as kids every day I believe. But most of all I think I have to say I miss the Brighton Hot Dog shoppe. I think they are afraid to make hot dogs in the south.
